What to Expect at Your Virtual Appointment
Apr 13, 2020
At Shea Homes®, we know that health is your top priority—and it’s our top priority, too. We’re committed to keeping our team members and customers safe, while also meeting the needs of our new home shoppers and buyers.
The good news is that our virtual doors are always open. We’re here to help you find the home of your dreams from the comfort of your current home. Whether you’re just starting your search or you’re approaching your closing date, we’re here with you every step of the way.
This process is new for all of us, but our goal is to provide you with the same exceptional service our customers have come to expect from Shea Homes—and a virtual experience that’s as close to the real thing as possible.
Wondering what to expect at your first virtual appointment with your Community Representative? We’re here to cover some of the questions that may be on your mind.
What tools or software will I need for my virtual appointment?
All you need to get started is a camera-enabled computer (desktop or laptop) or a tablet (such as an iPad). It’s possible to meet through a smartphone, too, though that won’t give you the best views of our photos and virtual tours. The larger the screen, the easier it will be to get a good look at our homes and community.
We usually hold our virtual appointments through Zoom, which is a free downloadable app that does not require you to create an account. Zoom is ideal because it allows us to seamlessly share videos of Model Homes, Quick Move-in Homes, and community or local amenities. If you prefer to meet through FaceTime or Skype, we can make that work, too! Just let your Community Representative know your preference ahead of time. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible for you.
How will I access my appointment?
If you choose to meet through Zoom, your Community Representative will send you an email with a link to your meeting. If you opt for a Facetime or Skype meeting, your Community Representative will call you at your appointment time.
How long is the first meeting?
Plan for approximately one hour for your first virtual appointment. This will allow time to explore the Model and Quick Move-in Homes, check out the community or local amenities, learn about our new Virtual Home Design Process, and get your questions answered. Need more time? No problem! If you want to keep exploring or you have additional questions, we’re here for you.
Who will I be talking to?
During your virtual appointment you’ll be meeting with your Community Representative—your personal, onsite guide throughout the home search process. Your Community Representative will be there at the community, virtually guiding you through Model Homes, showing you available Quick Move-in Homes, going out in the community to show you available homesites—letting you see all of the details that are important to you, from the comfort of your couch.
Can my appointment be recorded, and can I receive a full recording of the appointment?
Yes! For your convenience, we can record your virtual appointment and give you the full recording. This will allow you to go back and review any part of the appointment at any time, instead of needing to remember everything that you see or hear during your meeting. Rather not have your virtual appointment recorded? That’s fine, too! Just let your Community Representative know at the beginning of your meeting.
If you have any further questions about your virtual appointment, we’re happy to chat on the phone anytime. Just reach out to your Community Representative, or give us a call at 866.696.7432. Our team is here to help you continue your home search.
