Working Together

Shea Homes Welcomes Brokers & Agents

The relationship with the brokers and agents who support our new construction home buyers is important to us. We make it simple to understand how we can work together towards the ultimate goal – a happy new homeowner. Accordingly, we’ve put together some easy-to-follow guidelines relating to Shea Homes’ payment of compensation to buyer brokers and agents who are the procuring cause of a sale.

Broker and Agent Guidelines

Accompany Your Client on Their First Community Visit

You must physically accompany your client at their first visit to each of our communities and you must have a current signed agreement with your client. If your client has previously visited a community without you present, no compensation will be paid.

Complete the Broker Registration Agreement

On your first visit with your client to any community, you must register as the agent or broker for your client using our Broker Registration Form. A Broker Registration form is required at each community location and is non-transferrable.

Re-Register Before Broker Agreement Expires

Your Broker Registration Agreement is valid for 90 days. If your client needs more time than that to decide on their new home, let us know by re-registering prior to the expiration date. No compensation will be paid on an expired Broker Registration Agreement.

Compensation varies per community. Most, but not all, Shea Homes communities provide compensation to registered buyer brokers/agents. We reserve the right to change advertised compensation amounts at any time or to terminate buyer/broker compensation altogether without any notice. For questions about a specific home or community, please contact a Shea Community Representative.
